Bed and breakfast overlooking Kentucky countryside with homemade breakfasts and a new event center
Rooms
Barren Breeze Bed and Breakfast offers five unique room options, including a honeymoon suite and a gallery room with a jacuzzi tub and a shower for two. The bridal suite includes a salon area for wedding preparations, while each room is air-conditioned and provides a private bathroom. Room upgrades are available for special occasions, and guests can choose from larger suites like the deluxe queen suite or the downstairs suite that accommodates families.
Dining
A homemade breakfast is served daily, featuring fresh pastries, warm dishes, and local specialties such as fried chicken and waffles. The innkeepers prepare custom breakfast options tailored to guest preferences, including American, vegetarian, gluten-free, and kosher diets. Guests can also enjoy breakfast in the room, themed dinner nights, and packed lunches for day trips.
Amenities
The property has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool with a shallow end, pool towels, and a fenced pool area. An outdoor fireplace and picnic area are available for gatherings, and the shared lounge offers board games and puzzles for guest use. The bed and breakfast provides pet-friendly accommodations and a designated smoking area, along with free parking and free WiFi.
Events & Venue
A newly constructed event center on the property hosts weddings, family reunions, and business meetings. The venue has accommodated a 100-person reunion and a conference in March, with the innkeepers handling all catering and setup. Meeting and banquet facilities are available, and the bridal suite provides a convenient space for wedding parties to prepare.
Location
The bed and breakfast is located in Lucas, Kentucky, less than a 10-minute drive from Barren River Lake State Resort Park. Mammoth Cave National Park is reachable within 30 minutes, and the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green is about 50 km away. The property sits above the surrounding farmland, offering views of sunsets and local wildlife like wild turkeys and deer.
